OWC / Other World Computing's 11-port USB Type-C docking station, available in various colors, lets you easily connect a variety of devices to your computer. Designed to fill the gaps in many small portable computers, it offers a wealth of connectivity options. The docking station connects to the host computer via a single USB 3.0 Type-C cable and provides four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB 3.0 Type-C port, a microphone/stereo headphone combo jack, an SD card reader, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and one Mini DisplayPort or HDMI port.
The docking station also features five powered USB 3.0 ports, allowing you to charge and connect multiple peripherals and devices simultaneously. The front USB 3.0 port and the rear left USB 3.0 port support high-power charging, offering significantly faster charging speeds than the other ports. Charging continues as long as the docking station is connected to a power source, regardless of whether it's connected to a computer.
Use the microphone and headphone jacks to connect audio components such as speakers, headphones, microphones, and even headsets. If your computer lacks wired network connectivity, you can use the Gigabit Ethernet port to address situations where Wi-Fi is unavailable or insecure. An SD card reader provides another storage solution and expands device compatibility. Additionally, the Mini DisplayPort output supports high-definition 4K displays, allowing you to easily connect external monitors or TVs (sold separately).
